KEYTRUDA® is administered as an infusion into a vein (i.e. intravenously). This means that a doctor will insert a venous catheter every 3 weeks on treatment days so that the medicine can be administered to you as an infusion. For your own safety, other tests might also take place before the infusion on the treatment day. Your doctor will decide how many treatments you need.
Like other medicines, immunotherapy can also have side effects.
It is therefore important to look out for possible side effects. Tell your doctor immediately if you notice any symptoms or problems. This includes any side effects not listed in this brochure. > Side effects
